IntoPractise project

CENTRAL BALTIC INNOVATION TOOLS FOR PRACTISE –project has started among the first 19 projects that are financed by the”Central Baltic INTERREG IVA 2007–2013” –programme. Duration of the project is from spring 2009 to the end of 2011. The total budget is around 880 000 euros. Project partners are 11 vocational education institutes from four countries (Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Latvia) who all bring to the project their co-operation companies. The project is coordinated by Porvoo International Services Ltd. The mutual challenges in four Baltic Sea region countries are shortage of skilled labor force and developing the competitiveness of the region by more efficient utilization of human capital.

THE TARGET is to develop learning environments of vocational education so that innovation capacity of students and labor can be better utilized. Applying the patterns of successful companies to vocational education is researched in order to reach more innovative and practical ways of learning.

THE RESULTS:

1. Seminars in four countries about utilization of innovation capacity and competitiveness factors in education and companies.

2.”Material Bank” for educational institutions and companies. Good practices from four countries about advancing innovation capacity and supporting innovative learning.

3. Innovation network of project partners which will support future co-operation of education and business in Baltic Sea area.
